Casa Coller, Spumante, Prosecco Brut

Around 1850, cobbler Amadio Pirovano decided to give up his job as a shoemaker for his passion: wine. Together with his sons Constantino and Antonio, he opened a restaurant with local wines. In 1910, the success of their hobby, which had got out of hand, led them to start a small wine company. The small wine company has since grown into a large concern with wines from many Italian wine regions: Veneto, Abruzzi, The Marches, Apulia and Sardinia. In addition to still wines, Pirovano produces quality ‘spumanti’ under the name Casa Coller.

Nowadays Pirovano works together with more than 80 small wineries. In each area they work together with wineries that are able to deliver the representative local style in high quality, in which sustainability and respect for the local environment are paramount.

The Pirovano headquarters and own winery are located in the Oltrepo Pavese wine region and still belongs to the Pirovano family, where now the third generation Enzo and Beatrice are closely involved in the daily business.
