Originating from the Lieudit Poncié within the Fleurie appellation, Domaine Anita presents a refined wine of exceptional quality.

The vineyard, situated on pink granite soils at an altitude of 260 meters and facing southeast, provides ideal conditions for the 45-year-old Gamay vines. Here, the grapes are meticulously handpicked and carefully selected, laying the foundation for a unique wine experience.

The vinification process follows the traditional macération semi-carbonique technique, also known as “Vinification Beaujolaise.” Over a period of 12 days, whole grape clusters undergo fermentation, resulting in a fruity character and a smooth flavor structure. After fermentation, the wine matures for 6 months in cement tanks, followed by 3 months of bottle aging, allowing the complex aromas and elegance to fully develop.

Region

Fleurie:

Fleurie is one of the ten crus of the Beaujolais region in France, renowned for its high-quality wines made from the Gamay grape. The crus represent the top tier of Beaujolais wines, distinguished by their unique terroirs and specific characteristics.

Fleurie: Elegance and Refinement

Often referred to as the “Queen of Beaujolais,” Fleurie is celebrated for its elegant and refined style. The terroir is defined by granite-rich soils, situated at elevations ranging from 220 to 450 meters, which contribute to the distinctive expression of these wines.

Soil and Terroir: Granite soils and varied elevations result in refined wines with mineral notes.

Wine Style: Fleurie wines are known for their silky texture, floral aromas (violets, roses), and flavors of red fruits such as raspberry and strawberry.

Aging Potential: While often enjoyed young, top-quality Fleurie wines develop greater complexity with further aging.

The Ten Crus of Beaujolais

In addition to Fleurie, the Beaujolais crus include the following regions, each with its own character:

1.Brouilly: Light and fruity, ideal for immediate enjoyment.

2.Côte de Brouilly: More concentrated, with mineral and complex notes.

3.Chénas: Powerful and elegant wines, from one of the smallest crus.

4.Chiroubles: Light and fresh, with floral aromas.

5.Juliénas: Spicy and full-bodied, with dark fruit flavors.

6.Morgon: Bold and structured, with aging potential and flavors of cherries and plums.

7.Moulin-à-Vent: The most structured cru, often compared to Burgundy’s Pinot Noir.

8.Régnié: Accessible and fruity wines with red berry aromas.

9.Saint-Amour: Elegant and refined, with a blend of fruity and spicy notes.

Beaujolais Crus and Market Value

The Beaujolais crus represent the finest offerings of the region, distinct from the lighter Beaujolais Nouveau. These terroir-driven wines are highly regarded for their excellent value and diversity, appealing to a wide audience ranging from casual drinkers to seasoned wine enthusiasts.
