Paolo Manzone Barbera d’Alba Superiore ‘Fiorenza’ 2019 is a characterful Barbera from Piedmont, crafted by renowned winemaker Paolo Manzone. The grapes are carefully selected and fermented in stainless‑steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The wine then matures for 12 months in 350‑liter French tonneaux, adding structure, depth, and refinement. The grapes come from south‑ and southeast‑facing vineyards around Alba, situated at 350–400 meters altitude on clay and limestone soils. The vines are on average 30 years old and produce grapes with excellent concentration.

In the rustic village of Serralunga d’Alba, at the heart of the Barolo DOCG, lies the Meriame cru, where Manzone has planted his oldest Nebbiolo vines. Some of these vines date back to 1948 and are now more than 70 years old. Inspired by Burgundy, Manzone ages his Barolos in French Burgundy barrels, resulting in a modern, elegant style that perfectly complements the earthy and refined character of Meriame.

The vineyards benefit from diverse microclimates and soil compositions, contributing to the complexity and layered expression of his wines. Manzone works with great precision and respect for nature, applying sustainable and organic practices wherever possible to ensure top‑quality grapes.

Paolo Manzone’s wines are praised worldwide by critics and wine enthusiasts. His dedication to authenticity, craftsmanship, and innovation has earned him a respected place among the leading winemakers of the Langhe, producing wines that capture the essence of Piedmont in an impressive and distinctive way.
