Sauvignon blanc, distributed throughout the world, it has found favourable conditions in the Friulian hills for an excellent wine in terms of complexity, taste-olfactory balance and longevity.
At first sight, it has a straw yellow colour. Characteristic bouquet, rich in aromas ranging from sage, boxwood and elderberry. Good match with the taste, smooth, full and elegant. Excellent as an aperitif, with white asparagus, fish and shellfish, soups and creams.
The story of the Zorzettig family’s connection with wine begins more than 100 years ago, on the hills of Spessa di Cividale in the heart of Friuli’s Colli Orientali (Eastern Hills), an ideal place for viticulture thanks to its unique terroir and microclimate.
Those who approach our world are fascinated by the diversity reflected in our gestures and habits, and by a landscape that appears wholly unspoilt.
Nature, authenticity, evolution, quality: these are the ‘touchstones’ that guide the philosophy and work of Annalisa Zorzettig, at the helm of the family business.
The Zorzettig company is ‘perched’ on one of the highest hills in the Spessa area, the heart of Friuli’s Colli Orientali, which have always been dedicated to the culture of the vine. Located near Cividale del Friuli, our vineyards benefit from an ideal terroir and microclimate for viticulture, protected by the Alps from the cold currents of the North and caressed by the breezes from the Adriatic Sea.
The vineyards are located around the headquarters of the company, around the offices, the winemaking cellars, the ancient ageing cellar, dated 1780, restored in stone to its original form and the manor house with its typical Friulian hearth, and mainly autochthonous white and red grape varietals. The south-southeast exposure of the hills has rendered the Picolit from the Friuli’s Colli Orientali the absolute star within the Myò range, flanked by the autochthonous varietals, such as Ribolla Gialla and Friulano,
