Domaine La Grange: A Terroir of Excellence in Languedoc
Located in the picturesque village of Gabian, in the Occitanie region (Languedoc, Hérault), Domaine La Grange is a historic vineyard with a rich legacy. Founded over 200 years ago by the Sabatier family, it spans 60 hectares and has been under the stewardship of the Freund family since 2008. The new owners have introduced significant improvements, including a transition to organic viticulture, ensuring high-quality wines while respecting the environment.
A Unique Natural Setting for Exceptional Wines
The estate benefits from a privileged geographical location, nestled between three volcanoes and surrounded by the unspoiled wilderness of the Haut-Languedoc. This extraordinary terroir, combined with an ideal climate, creates the perfect conditions for producing wines with authentic flavors. The domain places a strong emphasis on biodiversity, fostering an optimal environment for vine cultivation.
Organic, Sustainable, and High-Quality Wines
The Pabiro vineyard, situated directly opposite the winery, is meticulously cultivated under the expert supervision of oenologist Eric. Each grape ripens in the best possible conditions, resulting in wines with refined and balanced flavors.
Domaine La Grange offers a range of wine collections, including Classique, Terroir, Tradition, and Castalides. Every wine is crafted with care, and some are even vinified without sulfur, reflecting a deep respect for the environment.
Eco-Certifications: A Commitment to Sustainability
The domain proudly holds Terra Vitis and HVE 3 (Haute Valeur Environnementale) certifications, which represent the highest level of sustainability in French viticulture. These accolades highlight the estate’s dedication to responsible agricultural practices and the preservation of biodiversity.
