From our own vineyards in Rioja Alta, in the area around Uruñuela, at an altitude of between 500 and 800 metres.
The wine is aged for 24 months in oak barrels made from American oak staves and French oak heads. The wine is then aged for a further 12 months in the bottle in the wine cellars.

Leza García, Rioja Reserva, comes from our own vineyards in Rioja Alta, in the area around Uruñuela. The cool climate and considerable altitude difference ensure slow ripening, which benefits the finesse and fresh structure. The soil consists mainly of calcareous clay, a substrate known for its contribution to concentration, tension and aromatic depth.

The family business excels at making Riojas that fit the modern style — with ripe fruit and precision in structure — while still retaining a recognisable classic signature. The family has been active in viticulture since the first half of the 20th century and took the step towards full professionalisation of the business in 1994. The vineyards are wholly owned and spread across the higher part of the region, where the microclimate is particularly suitable for refined and balanced wines.
