The harvest is followed by a 10-day process. The grapes are then fermented in stainless steel tanks. After fermentation, the wine remains in the tanks for another four months.
Fosso Corno is a young wine company owned by brother and sister Marco and Sabrina Biscardo in the heart of Abruzzo. Fosso Corno was founded in 2001 with the aim of making fine wines based on the Montepulciano grape. The house makes various styles of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo: from supple and accessible to rich and powerful, using French oak.
The 30-hectare vineyard is located on a single hill in Abruzzo overlooking the Adriatic Sea. It is carefully pruned with the aim of limiting fruit production and creating ideal conditions for sufficient air circulation. This ensures optimal ripening.
